This page has been developed as part of our
outreach efforts.
The Lord God has called and commissioned us to take the church ministry beyond the four walls of the church...and out into our communities and nation.
These efforts are just one reason our members find real value and fulfillment in their fellowship and affiliation with Beyond the Veil Ministries.
We hope that you will also!
Food Bank Resources:
Bread of Life Ministries - a facet of Beyond the Veil's Street Ministry is now a host site for the SHARE Program. Visit our "Church Ministries" page for additional information.
America's Second Harvest - is a national network of more than 200 food banks and rescue programs that distribute donated food through 50,000 charitable agencies to hungry Americans. The Network serves all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Last year, over 1.5 billion pounds of food was distributed, feeding 26 million Americans.
Homelessness/Emergency Housing Needs:
HUD (Housing & Urban Development) operates Homeless Assistance Agencies in every state. See list below for links to the Maryland and Washington, DC agencies.
Second Chance Homes - Are adult supervised, supportive group homes or apartment clusters for teen mothers and their children who cannot live at home because of abuse, neglect or other extenuating circumstances. The homes offer support to help families become self-sufficient and reduce the risk of repeat teen pregnancies. The program offers a place where these mothers can live, but also offer program services to help put these mothers and children onthe path to a better future. http://www.span-online.org/sch_natl_directory.html
