Congratulations!

This information page has been provided as a resource to new Christians who wish to
move forward and develop in their walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

To begin a healthy life of Christian living:

1. Be filled with the Holy Spirit as God commands.

"...Do not be drunk with wine, which leads to debauchery (extreme indulgence in sensual or worldly pleasures). Instead, be filled with the Spirit."- Ephesians 5:18

2. Pray to God without ceasing. In the morning, when you wake up, pray. Throughout the day, as you drive, as you work, communicate with God. Remember, you are building a relationship with the Lord God. You cannot build a relationship without constant communication.

"...Pray without ceasing."- I Thessalonians 5:17

3. Read the Bible day and night..."that you may be successful wherever you go".
- Joshua 1:7,8

Note: It may help if you purchase a New Living Translation or New International Version of the Holy Bible. The Word is the same. However, these translations of the Bible are in an easy to understand, modern language---not the Old English found in the standard King James Version. You may also consider purchasing the "New" King James Version of the Bible which is very much like the Old English version---the translation is just a little easier to understand.

You can purchase a Bible online by credit card or check at http://www.christianbook.com .

4. Obey God's Word

"Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says".-James 1:22

5. Live daily to please God. The Bible is God's Word, which He has provided for us that we may know His ways---and how to please Him. It is full of examples on how to live victoriously in Jesus Christ! We all have had bad habits, bad attitudes, some things about ourselves we want to change. Well, the good news is that we don't have to do it alone. Really, we cannot do it alone...we cannot change ourselves!

However, God's Word washes and cleanses us from sin. He uses it to correct and encourage us. It is life. Stay in the Word of God and purpose in your heart to obey it, and you will live a blessed life and please God.

"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven."-Matthew 5:16
