What is the truth ?

Thousands, perhaps millions of years ago, mankind once existed in perfect, right relationship with the Lord God. In Genesis (the book of beginnings), the Bible speaks of the first man, Adam, who actually walked in the 'cool of the day' with the Lord God. This perfect relationship between man and God was severed in Genesis 3 when Adam and Eve allowed themselves to be deceived by the evil serpent (Satan), and were disobedient to God.

The severing of this perfect relationship plunged mankind into the knowledge of good and evil ultimately caused man to develop a "sin nature", which causes us to desire to do those things which are carnally minded (disobedience, loving money, using others, lying, no time for God; etc.) and are against God (Romans 8:7). However, thanks be to God that He loved us enough to develop a plan through which we (mankind) could be properly restored unto Himself.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."-John 3:16

The Ultimate Sacrifice...

God sent the One who knew no sin, His son, Jesus Christ to Earth (John 3:16). Jesus' mission was to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10) and make atonement for the sin of mankind. During His time on Earth, Jesus fulfilled every requirement and expectation God ever hoped for us. He never once sinned against His Father or those around Him. In other words, Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for the atonement of our sins.

He accomplished this atonement through the shedding of His blood for our sins (Romans 5:11). Jesus died that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). He was both God and Man (John 10:30), so Jesus' suffering and death equaled the eternal judgement in hell that we would all have to experience otherwise.

Jesus' resurrection from the dead three days after His burial proved that, in paying the death penalty for us, He had also conquered death, not only for Himself, but for all those who believe in Him.

The angel said to the women..."Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, He has risen just as He said. Come, see the place where He laid. "Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead and behold, He will go ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."- Matthew 28:5-7

What does this mean to YOU ?

This is the GOOD NEWS! Jesus lives! He is seated at the right of God, the Father and will return for His Church one day soon. The choice is yours... through His perfect sacrifice, Jesus has given you everything to gain and nothing to lose. He loves YOU so much that He offered himself and was made the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world. Now all who believe in their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord are saved.

If you wish to accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior, simply pray this prayer...

Dear God, I come to You confessing that I am a sinner. I repent from my sin and ask You for Your forgiveness. I believe in my heart that Jesus is Your Son and that You raised Him from the dead. I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I believe that through His shed blood, I have eternal life. Please come into my heart and save my soul. Father, I ask that You fill me with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Living as a New Christian

We rejoice that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. After receiving salvation it is important that you join a Christ-centered church, which teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ, crucified and resurrected, and regards the entire Bible as the infalliable Word of God. You should also be baptized, pray and read your Bible daily, regularly assembling with fellow Christians at your church.
